Adopt a Shelter Month in Anniston

Saturday, June 7, 2014

According to animal rescue advocates, pets get abandoned in the summer holidays as pet owners go on vacations and leave them abandoned while they are away; not wanting to pay for the pet’s care. That’s where the care of animal shelters and compassionate animal lovers come into play.  The Cheaha Regional Humane Society wants the community to know that now is the time to adopt a pet. It’s easy to adopt from the Cheaha Regional Humane Society.  There’s only a $25.00 adoption fee and you’ll walk away with adoption papers and a pet in hand.  You must have the pet spayed or neutered, and staff requires a follow-up with the pet adopter after several months to make sure the animal is fixed.
