The man accused of assaulting former Anniston Mayor Gene Robinson now has a trial date set. Calhoun County District Court Judge Chris McIntyre set a trial date for Travis Ronacher of Anniston. Ronacher was arrested last month on charges that he assaulted former mayor Gene Robinson . According to Calhoun County Assistant District Attorney Foster Marshall, Ronacher asked the judge for more time to hire an attorney. The case is set for trial July 14th. Marshall said Ronacher has entered no plea in the matter. Ronacher was arrested in May, charged with misdemeanor third-degree assault.
