Thursday, June 12, 2014

One local board of education chooses to forgo salaries to support its schools.  The Piedmont Board of Education decided to use their salaries to pay for general expenses for the school system in a meeting on Tuesday. Newly elected Board President Michael Ingram says that sacrificing for the welfare of Piedmont City Schools’ students has been an enduring belief.  And that this official decision is really not all that new for the board members. Ingram added that according to reports, the Piedmont board will be able to provide $36,000 per year for the schools in their system.  And that this choice helps support the partnership between the school board, the administration, and the faculty.
