Red Cross Blood Center Ribbon-Cutting at Quintard Mall

According to American Red Cross statistics, the need for blood during the summer months is critical. The summer season is generally the most challenging time for the Red Cross to collect blood. Dubbed “trauma season,” summer brings an increase in the demand for blood to treat trauma victims, but a decrease in the availability of donors. That’s why the American Red Cross urges people to get out and give blood during summer months. And, the American Red Cross of Anniston has made it even more convenient for you to donate. The Red Cross celebrated the ribbon cutting of its new Quintard Mall Blood Center facility, today. American Red Cross officials say they’ve found that folks don’t always like to give blood in buses and they’re depending on their new facility to provide a pleasant donor experience. You can give blood every 56 days. And for even greater convenience, you can go online and set up an appointment with no wait time at REDCROSSBLOOD.ORG.
