Calhoun County Special Olympics Athletes Compete in Nationals

Three Calhoun County Special Olympics athletes are on their way to Olympic gold. The athletes are competing in the national Special Olympics in Trenton, New Jersey starting today. The hopefuls include two Bocce Ball players and a bowler from Anniston. The athletes say they are appreciative of the opportunity and look forward to coming home champions. According to local Special Olympics organizers, the athletes’ supporters are proud of their accomplishments. Divisioning rounds began today and will continue through the week.
