FEMA Disaster Assistance)

Alabamians affected by the storms during the period of April 28th through May 5th need not to worry about still receiving help from FEMA.

Although, recovery centers have closed, FEMA is still offering help. All the assistance services available at the Recovery Centers are easily accessible online and by phone. And, there is also a FEMA representative at the SBA Disaster Loan Outreach Centers, many of which are in the same location of the Recovery Centers. Residents of Baldwin, Blount, DeKalb, Etowah, Jefferson, Lee, Limestone, Mobile and Tuscaloosa counties who suffered storm damage can still apply for assistance.

Register online at DisasterAssistance.gov, or via smartphone at m.fema.gov or by phone at 800-621-3362. The deadline to register for FEMA assistance is July 1, 2014.
