First-Degree Robbery

A robbery in Gadsden lands four men in the Etowah County Detention CenterDalvin Johnson, Malcolm Ragland, Mark Wagnon, and a 17-year-old were arrested and charged with first-degree robbery. They’re accused of robbing two men in the 200 block of South 13th Street. According to the Gadsden Police Department, a man told police he went to a residence to pick up a friend to take him to work when a suspect approached his car, reached in and tried to take the keys from the ignition. The man later waived a silver pistol at him after the victim asked what he was doing. The victim was pulled from the car and hit on the left side of the face with the pistol. When the victim’s friend came outside to go to work, he saw the robbery in progress got involved and was punched in the face and the stomach. Officers caught up with the suspects when a car matching the description given by witnesses was stopped on East Broad Street. Some of the stolen property was recovered.
