Alabama residents affected by the severe storms and flooding in late April have been given a little extra time to apply for assistance. The Federal Emergency Management Agency announced today the approval of a two week extension requested by Governor Robert Bentley. That means residents now have until July 15 to apply for help from FEMA. The deadline for loan applications to the U.S. Small Business Administration has also been extended to July 15. There are two ways to apply: online at HYPERLINK www.DisasterAssistance.gov or call the FEMA helpline at 800-621-3362.
