Chemical Endangerment of A Child

According to the Etowah County Sheriff’s Office, authorities have arrested and charged two Etowah County women with separate and unrelated incidents of chemical endangerment of a child. Amy Hall of Rainbow City has been  charged with one count of chemical endangerment of exposing a child to an environment in which controlled substances are ingested, produced or distributed, which is a felony.   Investigators say Hall admitted to using Xanaz and OxyContin during her pregnancy. Authorities also charged Dylan Entrekin of Gadsden with one count of chemical endangerment of exposing a child to an environment in which controlled substances are ingested, produced or distributed.  The charge is a felony.  Investigators say Entrekin admitted to using methamphetamine on a daily basis.  Both women are being held  in the Etowah County Detention Center.
