Free Fireworks Display at Jacksonville High School

Thursday, July 3, 2014

The Jacksonville Parks and Recreation Department is in full swing with its summer activities.  And, today the department had its annual Splish Splash Pool Party with wacky games and contests for attendees.  Tomorrow night the city of Jacksonville will be celebrating the Fourth of July with their annual fireworks show that will take place at the campus of Jacksonville High School.   There will be performances from a national musical act, the Calhoun County Community Band, and there will also be vendors displaying arts and crafts. City of Jacksonville Parks and Recreation Program Coordinator, Ed Canady, says the whole community should come out and expect to have a good time. Canady adds that the city expects a big crowd at tomorrow night’s free event.
