There's been a change in plans about sending adults and children coming into the country from across the border to Alabama. The Department of Health and Human Services had considered housing some of those illegal immigrants at the Center for Domestic Preparedness in Anniston. Congressman Mike Rogers voiced his opposition in a letter, calling it "misguided and misinformed." It's not clear whether Congressman Rogers' opinion factored into the decision. The department hasn't said where they'll now consider sending those illegal immigrants and their children.
