According to the Gadsden Police Department, James Frampton stole a truck out of St. Clair County. They say he drove it through Anniston and ended up in Gadsden on Saturday night. The pursuit ended at 10:00PM on South Sixth Street in Gadsden when Anniston police officers chased the stolen 1999 Ford Ranger into Gadsden assisted by Gadsden police officers. Frampton was arrested on a felony charge of second-degree receiving stolen property, and misdemeanor charges of reckless endangerment, attempting to elude, resisting arrest and third-degree criminal mischief. He is in the Etowah County Detention Center; no bond has been set.
