First Degree Theft

A suspected truck thief gets spotted by the owner of the stolen vehicle she’s driving and later ends up in custody. According to the Gadsden Police Department, Angela Brooksbank, was driving a stolen truck Sunday evening, when the owner saw her in the truck and chased it from Canterberry Station to West Grand Avenue, where it is believed that Brooksbank jumped out and ran into the woods. According to officials, the owner of the stolen truck told police he saw his truck at 6 p.m. Sunday in a parking lot and pulled up behind it, and the woman driving it sped off. A chase then ensued. He then called 911. Angela Brooksbank of Glencoe was charged with first-degree theft and two counts of second-degree theft. She is being held on $10,000 bond.
