Poor Dietary Habits Stem From DNA

If you are a parent and have often found yourself wondering about where the eating habits of your children come from…You may not have to look any further than their dad. A new study published in the medical journal, Nutrition, says that research shows poor dietary habits may be coded into our D-N-A and also that a father’s bad diet may create a cellular memory in the D-N-A passed on to a child. According to the author, Doctor Ian Myles, not only does what the pregnant mother eats affect the baby, but the dad’s eating habits impact a child’s food cravings. So, the message to dads is …Eat healthier. That is if you want your newborn to have better eating habits. Research shows poor eating habits can also lead to a host of health problems including obesity, and damage to the heart, liver and kidneys.
