Cherokee County Investigators conducted a drug eradication effort on Friday and according to Cherokee County Sheriff Jeff Shaver, officers seized and destroyed approximately 600 marijuana plants. The State Bureau of Investigation helicopter worked as an aerial spotter and was significant in helping officers to spot marijuana plants in the area.  Officers discovered plants growing at a resident in Ellisville.  Cherokee County investigators will be conducting more searches from evidence gathered on Friday and expect to make additional arrests.
