8 Percent of Voters Cast Ballots in Alabama's Primary Runoffs
About 8 percent of Alabama's 2.9 million registered voters participated in yesterday's runoff election.
That's slightly higher than the 5 percent turnout that Secretary of State Jim Bennett had predicted. Bennett says there were not any issues reported with the newly implemented voter identification law. He expects a highter voter turnout for the general election on November 4.
