National Park Tourism in Alabama

Alabama National Parks and the tourists who visit them help the Alabama economy grow. According to a new report from the National Park Service more than 740,000 visitors to Alabama spent more than $27 million and supported 396 jobs in 2013. The 2013 economic analysis reports that most visitor spending was for lodging followed by food and beverages. And, in regards to jobs; the largest job categories supported by visitor spending were restaurants and bars and lodging at more than 80,000 jobs.
