The City of Weaver Clears Major Hurdle

For more than 20 years, the city of Weaver has been trying to get Jacksonville Street repaved. During the process, it turned into a re-construction project, stalled out, and then the road deteriorated. Because of what they call political obstacles, the city of Weaver chose to do without federal money and take out a loan. Willis also says he’s excited about the construction because fixing the street was one of his goals when he took office. Willis also adds that the city is improving Weaver Park. Mayor Willis says the security issues at the Weaver City Hall are just the city’s indoctrination into what’s going on at public buildings all across American nowadays. Willis says APAC is doing the resurfacing on Jacksonville Street and the road construction will be done this week. Weaver has a population of more than 3,000 people.
