A Douglasville, Georgia man is in custody for a shooting that happened in Calhoun County last month. According to Jacksonville Police, Jeremee Griffin turned himself into Jacksonville Police yesterday afternoon. Griffin has been charged with attempted murder and robbery with a weapon. Investigators believe Griffin shot Vilas Patel June 16 outside a home on Mountain Street in Jacksonville. Police also say the shooting was planned because someone called Patel and asked him to meet them at the house where he was shot. Griffin is being held in the Calhoun County Jail on $100,000 bond. His preliminary hearing is set for August 11.
