Sam’s Club Official Grand Opening and Ribbon-cutting

Friday, July 25, 2014

It’s a big day for the city of Oxford and its retail sector. The city held the official grand opening and ribbon-cutting for Sam’s Club, today.  A crowd of customers awaited the opening of the store and made their way in to shop the store’s fresh meat department, the fresh bakery, buy from the café, and check out its seasonal section.  Sam’s Club Manager Tarah Pounders says today is an exciting day. Oxford City Councilman, Steven Waits, says this accomplishment has taken years to come about. And he says this day will help Oxford’s future look even brighter. Waits says that with the Sam’s Club development complete and the brand new sports complex being built, industry is being spurred to drive additional assets and traffic into the area.
