The big boom that was heard and felt by residents in the Angel community on Wednesday evening is still under investigation.  According to Alabama State Fire Marshall Office Public Information Officer, Steve Holmes, a large number of agencies including the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives and the Alabama State Fire Marshal’s Office are looking into it.  Holmes says that they have two investigators on the scene and they have discovered that the blast in the Angel community caused some damage throughout the Jacksonville and Anniston areas as well.  Officials add, the boom was part of a training program on a contract to contract explosive unit out of Gettysburg, Pennsylvania called Tripwire Operations Group.
