Alabama Yellow Dot Program & Child Car Seat Check

The Anniston Fire Department wants local residents to participate in two programs.

The first program is the Alabama Yellow Dot Program. It pertains to a sticker and a folder that alerts First Responders of critical medical information that could save your life in case of an automobile accident. The Yellow Dot decal is placed on the driver’s side rear window and indicates to First Responders that the automobile contains a personal information sheet. According to Sergeant Dustin Walker of the Anniston Fire Department, the yellow dot program is a free and simple service provided to all Alabama citizens. The second program sponsored by the Anniston Fire Department relates to automobile driver and passenger safety. According to the Centers for Disease Control Motor vehicle injuries are a leading cause of death among children in the United States. And, the Anniston Fire Department wants to ensure that all Alabama parents install car seats for their children correctly. The child car seat check is also a free service.
