Northeast Alabama Regional Medical Center Negotiates Contract

Yesterday, TV24 reported that Blue Cross and Blue Shield officials announced that  Northeast Alabama Regional Medical Center will no longer be recognized as an in-network provider as of September 12, 2014.  Today, Regional Medical Center Chief Executive Officer J. David McCormack sat down with TV24 to discuss the latest in negotiations. McCormack says the long-standing relationship with Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Alabama will continue and they will work to ensure a new agreement is in place before any services are interrupted.  RMC has a medical staff of 185 physicians and more than 1,400 employees.   It is the primary healthcare provider for the Northeast Alabama region.
