JSU Practices In Full Pads For First Time

The JSU Gamecocks strapped on the full pads for the first time in fall camp. So far head coach John Grass is pleased with how his team is handling the condition.

The most intriguing position battle is at quarterback. Returning starters Eli Jenkins, Max Shortell and Kyle West are now sharing reps with Georgia Bulldog transfer Christian LeMay. Even though just one guy can take the snaps per play, there is a true sense of camaraderie within the competition.

JSU will begin two-a-day practices tomorrow morning. Their season opener is in 24 days at Michigan State (Fri, Aug. 29th).
