7 People Arrested and Charged

The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives has arrested 7 Talladega County residents on gun or drug charges. According to a press release, the 7 people arrested are among 9 people charged with firearms or drug distribution in 8 separate July indictments. Agents say that Chancy Temple of Talladega and Christopher Murray of Childersburg were already in custody. Both are charged as convicted felons in possession of a firearm.

Arrested today on various firearms or drug charges were Sylacauga residents

Justin Kirkland, Jermaine Morris, Mareao Sears, Meltrone Sears, and Terrell McElrath.

Talladega residents Julian Harris and Travis Chatman were also taken into custody.
