Glencoe Elementary School Ribbon-Cutting

One local school will kick off the new school year in a new facility. Glencoe Elementary school held a ribbon cutting ceremony today. The school has endured a 14 month demolition and construction. And according to Glencoe Elementary School Principal Teresa Lokey, the students can’t wait to make use of it.

Etowah County Schools Superintendent Alan Cosby says he’s thrilled for the entire administration and student body. The school system was able to pay for the construction because of the one cent sales tax agreed upon by legislators.
