Pleads Guilty to Enticing a Child for Immoral Purpose

The man accused of soliciting a 14-year-old girl for sex online enters a guilty plea. Former Alabama Department of Transportation employee Daniel Nixon pled guilty to a charge of Enticing a Child for Immoral Purposes and he was sentenced to a term of five years; he must serve one year of the sentence and spend three years on probation.  He will also be required to register as a sex offender for the remainder of his life.  Nixon surrendered at the DeKalb County Detention Center today in order to begin serving his sentence.
