The Federal Healthcare Exchange hits another snag. You may be part of the more than 300,000 people who may lose coverage in September. The problem is that there is an issue with proving whether the thousands are U.S. citizens or legal residents. The data matching issue occurred when the information they provided when they enrolled for the Affordable Care Act did not match what the federal government had on file. The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services, which oversees the Federal Healthcare Exchange says it has been reaching out to the affected people via email, phone calls, and letters. Their coverage could end on September 30th if they don’t provide the necessary documents by September 5th.
