Sylacauga High School Receives Telephone Threat
8:15 a.m. to investigate a threat made to the school via telephone. According to Sylacauga Police Department Chief Chris Carden, school officials immediately followed procedure. Officials say the incident is an ongoing felony investigation by the Sylacauga Police Department and they are not at liberty to discuss the details. But Carden says there is a process in place. Chief Carden says schools may receive a couple of these threats towards the beginning of the school year. And he adds that those who typically make these types of threats is generally a student.
