Calhoun County Native Declared Dead

Friday, August 22, 2014

Five years after being reported missing, a Calhoun County native has been declared dead. Kelley Henderson Howard was 41-years-old and living in the Pell City area when she went missing.  According to investigators, she was last seen on June 2, 2009 at Family Dentistry in Riverside where she worked as a dental hygienist.  Investigators say Howard was at work, talking on the phone with her mother when she said that she needed to see who was at the office door.  Her mother says Howard never came back to the phone and she hasn't been seen or heard from since that day.  St. Clair County Probate Judge Mike Bowling made the  declaration Wednesday after a request filed on behalf of Kelley Howard's husband.

Investigators say that they will continue to look for leads in this case.
