A convicted child molester who authorities say terrorized multiple generations of his own family has been sentenced to a lengthy prison term. According to the office of Cherokee County District Attorney Mike O’Dell, Circuit Judge Jeremy Taylor denied a probation request Wednesday and sentenced 70- year-old Robert Shad of the Little River community, to a term of ten years in state prison.  According to District Attorney O’Dell, Shad had entered a guilty plea in Cherokee County Circuit Court in June for Attempted Sexual Abuse of a Child under the Age of 12 and Sexual Abuse 2nd Degree.  Shad was indicted last fall by a Cherokee County Grand Jury, for sex crimes involving multiple victims.
