U.S. Treated Ebola Patients Released
Doctor Kent Brantly, the first known Ebola Patient to be treated on U-S. soil was declared free of the virus and was united with his family, today. Brantly became ill while working with the Missionary Group Samaritan’s Purse in Liberia. Missionary Nancy Writebol, brought to Emory with the virus days after Brantley, has also been released, but asked for privacy. According to the World Health Organization, the Ebola outbreak continues to spread in West Africa. The death toll topping 1,350.
