Gadsden Election 2014

Residents of the City of Gadsden will go to the polls to elect new city leaders tomorrow. The mayor's office is up for grabs - as are all seven seats on the city council. All of the incumbents are running to retain their seats and none are running unopposed.
Gadsden residents will also be voting on whether to allow Sunday alcohol sales in the city. Voting locations in Gadsden will be open tomorrow from 7am until 7pm. Residents are reminded that district lines were changed recently and residents were sent a postcard in the mail to verify correct voting locations for every registered voter. The City of Gadsden has just more than 18,500 registered voters and City Clerk Iva Nelson says that less than half of those are expected to vote.
