JSU Heads For East Lansing

JSU’s first opponent is No. 8 Michigan State Friday night in East Lansing. The Friday night kickoff is noteworthy because of 1st year collegiate head coach John Grass. After spending over 20 years rising up the ranks in high school at Moody, Albertville, Spain Park and Oxford, it seems fitting that he’ll start his college days under the Friday night lights.

Michigan State Mark Dantonio has a long history at FCS schools. He coached at both Youngstown State and Akron (when they were 1-AA) before going to Kansas, so he has a lot of respect for the level of play. The Gamecocks left for East Lansing today. They’ll face the Spartans tomorrow night at 6:30pm on the Big Ten Network.
