Crack Down On Court Fines

The Legislature has asked District Attorney’s offices across the state and other court personnel to join together to help increase the collection of outstanding court costs and fines. Officials say this is an effort to address budgetary concerns. Calhoun-Cleburne County Chief Assistant District Attorney Lynn Hammond says they will use their Restitution Recovery Unit. The Restitution Recovery Unit has been addressing the fines and court fees issue for more than 5 years.
