Each September, the Calhoun County Chamber of Commerce salutes area industries with Salute to Industry Month, including a industrial tour. Today, the chamber took 30 members of Calhoun County’s industrial base and showed them how local suppliers and manufacturers help create a diverse and thriving economy within the county. Attendees toured Advantage Logistics, SuperValu, and NABI Bus LLC. NABI Director of Human Resources, Herb Clark, says it is an important tour for business people in his community. Clark says NABI is pleased to give local business owners a look inside its organization. He adds that NABI is one of the largest producers of transit buses in the nation and produces over 600 transit buses a year for properties all over the United States. Another attendee, Moore Printing Company Co-owner, Danny Shears says the Chamber’s Salute to Industry Month is an essential reminder. On Thursday, September 18th there will be a Salute to Industry Golf Outing at Robert Trent Jones Golf Trail at Silver Lakes in Glencoe. If you would like to register, go to the Calhoun County Chamber of Commerce website at www.calhounchamber.com.
