Highland School Grant

Thursday, September 11, 2014

The Alabama Power Foundation continues its tradition of giving today with a large donation to an Etowah County Elementary School. Since 1989, the Foundation has given out more than $130 million in grants throughout the state.  Today, Alabama Power representatives presented a check for $10,000 to Highland Elementary School in Etowah County.  The money was given in support of the school’s new Pre-K program.  Principal Lori Moss says that the grant funding will help the school continue the new program that is already showing results. Alabama Power Regional Manager Steve Hildebrant says that donating money to education programs is good for everyone involved. For more information on Alabama Power Foundation grants and how your school or community can benefit, visit www.powerofgood.com.
