A hearing for a Jacksonville man accused of beating his girlfriend to death last month has been rescheduled. On Monday, Calhoun County Judge Chris McIntyre rescheduled Richard Pilkington’s preliminary hearing for this morning, along with his bond reduction hearing. Both have now been delayed until Tuesday, September 16th at 2:00PM at the request of the District Attorney’s Office and Pilkington’s lawyers. Pilkington is charged with murder for the death of Tracey Callaway Strange. Police believe Pilkington beat Strange to death inside a mobile home on Pennsylvania Avenue in Jacksonville in the early morning hours of August 17th. She was pronounced dead from blunt force trauma at Regional Medical Center Jacksonville. Right now, Pilkington is being held in the Calhoun County Jail with a $500,000 bond.
