Tuesday, September 16, 2014

After taking a week, off the Jacksonville State football team is geared up to end the week with an actual game. JSU opened the season with two road opponents and so they’re excited to play in front of the home crowd for the first time this season. The Gamecocks face West Alabama- a team who used to be a big rival while the two programs were in Division II. Head coach John Grass says the Tigers still present a very formidable challenge. West Alabama is 2-0 and have outscored opponents (Stillman and Shaw) 74-26. The Tigers are led by head coach Brett Gilliland.
