New Anniston City Schools Ward 1 Board Member

Edwin Kimbrough is the new Anniston City Schools Ward 1 board member. The Anniston Board of Education selected from three potential candidates. They were Andrew Hatley, Ernest Washington, and Edwin Kimbrough. Ward 2 Councilman David Reddick and Ward 3 Councilman Seyram Selase voted for Washington, Ward 4 Councilwoman Millie Harris nominated Andrew Hatley. But, there was no second. And, Ward 1 Councilman Jay Jenkins, Mayor Vaughn Stewart, and Councilwoman Millie Harris voted for Kimbrough. Anniston City Schools Board of Education President, Bill Robison says the council had three quality people to select from. But, he is pleased with Kimbrough’s appointment. The Anniston City Schools Board of Education has scheduled a work session for September 25th at 5:00PM. That is when they will hold the swearing in ceremony for Kimbrough at the Central Office.
