American Red Cross Blood Donation for October

The month of October is Liver Awareness Month. And the American Red Cross is encouraging eligible donors to give blood, now. According to the American Liver Foundation liver transplant patients may require in excess of 30 pints of blood during surgery.

Donors with types O negative, A negative and B negative are needed. To make an appointment to donate blood, download the new Red Cross Blood Donor App from app stores or text BLOODAPP to 90999 to receive a download link.
