Rain Recycle Rainbarrel Workshop

The Alabama Land Trust Choccolocco Creek Watershed Alliance hosts a workshop to get local Alabamians conserving water. 20 people showed up at the American Red Cross building to learn how to put together a rain recycle rainbarrel kit. The Alabama Land Trust was given the 20 barrels as a donation from Coca-Cola’s River Network partnership program. Alabama Land Trust Program Director, Christy Claes (CLAYS), says the rainbarrels will provide residents with rainwater for their gardens that they will be able to easily plug into their gutters. She says it’s a convenient and easy way to save water. The River Network has given Alabama Land Trust more rainbarrels that they will get out next year with more workshops.
