It’s a sight that most people won’t soon forget – 200 people – running on Broad Street in Gadsden – while wearing a TuTu! The first annual TuTu2K fun run took place yesterday in Gadsden. The family friendly running event was a fundraiser for the Downtown Dance Conservatory. Artistic Director Linze (like Lindsey) McRae says that the money raised by the unique event will be used for capital improvements and new equipment for the dance studio. The Downtown Dance Conservatory is the region’s largest studio for classical ballet and contemporary dance studies. The studio is part of the Gadsden Cultural Arts Foundation and operates inside the Hardin Center for Cultural Arts. For more information, you can visit www.culturalarts.org.
