Shooting at UPS Warehouse

Three people are dead tonight, including a gunman, who opened fire inside a UPS warehouse in Birmingham. According to police, a man who had been fired from the company yesterday, walked into the facility this morning, shot two co-workers, and then himself. Following the shooting, police put other employees on a bus and took them to another location for questioning. Police have withheld the names of thevictims while they continue to try and reach all of their family members. However, late today, the Associated Press identified the shooter as Joe Tesney.

In a statement from UPS: “The safety of our employees is our primary focus, and UPS is cooperating fully with law enforcement. We are deeply saddened by this event, and our thoughts and prayers go out to the families and friends of those who lost their lives today.

…We have reached out to the families and are providing counseling and support to employees during this difficult time.”
