Online Training for Mandated Reporters of Child Abuse & Neglect

labama officials are kicking off a statewide effort to make sure all people who are supposed to report child abuse and neglect are getting the proper training. Governor Robert Bentley, Human Resources Commissioner Nancy Buckner and state school Superintendent Tommy Bice announced a new push today for online training for mandated reporters of child abuse and neglect. So far this year, the Alabama Department of Human Resources reports investigating more than 29,000 cases of neglect or abuse involving more than 45,000 children.
