Heart Walk

More than 500 Northeast Alabama residents are expected to join the Heart Walk this Saturday, September 27, to raise awareness and funds to fight heart disease and stroke – America’s No. 1 and No. 4 killers. The annual event begins at 8:00 AM at the YMCA of the Coosa Valley in historical Downtown Gadsden. The non-competitive, three-mile walk is free to the public and pet-friendly. The money raised from the Heart Walk will help fund cardiovascular research and education in Alabama. Heart disease and stroke are responsible for approximately 30 percent of all deaths each year in Northeast Alabama.
