Deaths Linked to GM’s Faulty Ignition Switch
General Motors’ faulty ignition switch is linked to 23 deaths as of Friday. The car manufacturer has set up a program to compensate accident victims. And, officials say more than 150 death claims have been submitted. The company publicly acknowledged the flaw for the first time in February even though General Motors engineers first knew of the ignition switch flaw a decade ago. G-M has now recalled 2.6 million cars related to the problem.
