Alabama’s Graduation Rate

Alabama Superintendent of Education Tommy Bice believes numbers released soon will show that the state’s 2014 High School graduation rate has increased. Bice talked about the graduation rates today during a meeting with the state’s dropout prevention commission.  Bice has set a 90 percent graduation rate for the state by 2020.  The 2013 rate is a record high at 80 percent.  Each percentage point represents about 600 high school graduates.
