Presidential Search Update

Friday, October 3, 2014

Jacksonville State University Board of Trustees continues its efforts to find a replacement for President Bill Meehan, who plans to retire on July 1, 2015. JSU Trustee Ronnie Smith will lead the presidential search and screening committee.  Last week, JSU Board of Trustees Chair and Alabama Secretary of State Jim Bennett sent letters to the 12 people chosen to serve on the committee. Now that the committee has been organized, a national search firm will help in the process. The board hopes to identify candidates by March so that campus interviews can be scheduled and a new president can be chosen by the boards meeting on April 20.
