The first Ebola patient in the United States has died from the virus. Health officials confirm that Thomas Eric Duncan died this morning at a Dallas, Texas hospital. Meanwhile, here in Alabama, Governor Robert Bentley and state health officer, Dr. Don Williamson are assuring residents that the state is prepared. They announced today that the state has taken steps to make sure health care workers are able to quickly identify the symptoms of Ebola and take precautions to make sure others don't become infected. There are not any confirmed cases of Ebola in Alabama. The state just wants to be prepared due to the growing concern surrounding the virus.
